ARG Circuit Series Atlantic City: Round 4 Corey Roca (Shaddoll) vs. Joe Bogli (Satellarknights)

Here we are in Round 4 and we once again get to showcase two outstanding duelists in Corey Roca and Joe Bogli!  Corey is piloting Shaddolls with a splash of the White and Black dragons while Joe is hoping Satellarknights will guide him to victory.  Can Joe keep the win streak alive for Satellarknights or will Corey's Shaddolls unseat the other format titan?

Game 1

Corey Normal Summons Mathematician to send Shaddoll Falco which summons itself facedown.  He then uses Upstart Goblin, sets two and passes.

8000 - 9000

Joe starts with an Upstart Goblin followed by one more.  He then Normal Summons Satellarknight Unukalhai to send Satellarknight Deneb to the grave.  Unukalhai runs over Mathematician.  During the End Phase, Corey activates Sinister Shadow Games, sending Shaddoll Beast to the grave.  He draws a card then brings back Beast facedown.

9700 - 9000

Corey draws for turn then flips Beast, drawing two cards and discarding Shadoll Squamata which sends Shaddoll Dragon to the grave, destroying Joe's set Wiretap.  He then Synchro Summons Black Rose Dragon which is stopped by Fiendish Chain but Corey has the Compulsory Evacuation Device to push the effect through!  Joe loses Solemn Warning and Dimensional Prison.  Corey then Special Summons White Dragon Wyverbuster by banishing Shaddoll Dragon.  He then Normal SUmmons Squamata.  Both connect then in Main Phase 2 he Xyz Summons Daigusto Emeral to send back Mathematician, Squamata, and Falco to draw a card.

9700 - 5500

Joe draws for turn then Normal Summons Satellarknight Altair but Corey has Vanity's Emptiness!

Corey runs over Altair then passes.

Joe draws for turn, uses a third Upstart Goblin and scoops it up.  Trying to get a little too cute with Fiendish Chain ends up costing Joe as a devastating Black Rose Dragon is too much for him to try and come back from.

Game 2

Joe elects to go first for Game 2.  He starts off with a Reinforcement of the Army to get Deneb which adds Altair to his hand.  A Pot of Duality reveals Nobleman of Crossout, Mystical Space Typhoon, and Breakthrough Skill, adding Noble of Crossout.  He sets three and passes.

Corey sets three backrow, a monster, and sends it back over to Joe.  End Phase Joe's Mystical Space Typhoon hits Corey's set Royal Decree.  Joe sighs as he was hoping to hit a set Sinister Shadow Games.

Joe uses Noble of Crossout but Corey has the Sinister Shadow Games to send Beast to the grave, flipping his set Falco.  Beast draws a card and is summoned facedown with Falco.  Joe then Normal Summons Satellarknight Vega without effect then runs over Falco.  Main Phase 2 he Xyz Summons for Diamond Dire Wolf to pop Beast.  End Phase Corey flips up Royal Decree to lock down Joe's backrow.

Corey starts with a Foolish Burial to send Squamata which sends Beast to draw him a card.  He then banishes Squamata for Wyverbuster which connects directly.  He then sets a monster and a backrow and passes back to Joe.

8000 (Corey) - 6300 (Joe)

Joe Normal summons Vega which summons Altair which brings back Deneb which adds another Altair to his hand.  He then Xyz Summons Castel, the Skyblaster Musketeer but Corey has the Book of Moon to shut it down!

Corey flips up Shaddoll Hedgehog to add Shaddoll Fusion to his hand.  He then Normal Summons Squamata, then Xyz Summons Lavalval Chain.  Lavalval Chain detaches Squamata and sends Eclipse Wyvern to the grave to banish Dark Armed Dragon.  Black Luster Soldier - Envoy of the Beginning hits the field by banishing Wyvern and Falco, giving him the necessary amount of darks to summon Dark Armed Dragon!  DAD destroys Joe's monsters then he attacks for game

An explosive turn marked by two of the game's strongest monsters brings Corey Roca victory!  He advances onward with a 3-1 record, but both duelists are definitely in the running for Top 16 with some good tiebreakers!
