Dragon Ruling in Vegas - A Top 16 Report

Hello Duelists! I’m back! This was a strange trip to prepare for because I was prepping my bags for YCS Chicago and as I packed up everything I couldn’t even think about Vegas too much. Arnold Phillips and Vincent Jouett were also using a very similar decklist to mine because of how broken Hieratic Rulers are. Joel Enriquez the other guy in the car and a very close friend of mine opted to run Mermails instead and we all seemed prepared except that I didn’t want to play test at all. I watched them play test a ton and I Read more

The North American World Championship Qualifier is finally over! I want to personally say congrats to all 6 players who made it to the World Championship! I also want to say congrats to our article writers Jeff Jones and Josh Graham for making it to the top 64 of the event. They both deserve to win the chance to Amsterdam, but luck gets in the way of skill during this format. Jeff’s opponent made 2 misplays but the luck outweighed the skill in that match up. Josh also got the same fate with luck outweighing the skill. Since the discussion Read more

Sometimes when a new structure deck gets released it’s ignored by most because everyone sticks to the meta. People have changed their mind ever since the Machina Structure deck back in early 2010. Now another structure deck has arrived and it’s much more devastating then a gadget deck could be, it’s the Agents! There’s one thing you don’t have to worry about if your showing up to YCS Rhode Island and that is T.G. Hyper Librarian, but instead you have to worry about this deck!! YCS Rhode Island will introduce this new fairy deck to the table and it’s so Read more

I just got back from YCS Orlando Florida, and it was an experience that changed my life. Teamwork… is a keyword in this game. During today’s metagame anyone using teamwork has proven to get greater results than working alone. A few good examples are Frazier Smith’s group of gravekeeper’s who got 1st 2nd and 3rd place at YCS Atlanta Georgia, Nizar Sarhan and Sean covert at YCS Dallas and North Carolina, and finally this recent YCS with Juan Morales and the newly formed Team Tengen which includes me, Greg cohen, Bertha Pena, and Juan Morales. What I’m going to write Read more

Seeing how much income you make really decides what your going to do about your budget for cards, travel Read more
