There are many reasons why I chose what I did.

The Monsters Discussion :

I decided to run three copies of each Koa'ki Meiru except Koa'ki Meiru Wall because Wall's effect to negate spells is not good at this point in this format since mostly traps and monsters are used.

I took out Card Trooper and Block Golem because Golem's effect can only work when there is at least two rock targets in the graveyard for it to use its effect to special two rock types for use of xyz summoning. The only reason for Card Trooper is to dump monsters into the grave, which is fuel for Block Golem, and the deck is about field and hand control, so I feel that there is no point in running Card Trooper.

I took out one of the Koa'ki Meiru Walls, two Maxx C, and one Grand Mole for two Thunder King and two Doomcal. Maxx C is only good against fast OTKing decks, veiler is very good for against lots of decks, but not necessary in this deck because of using Koa'ki meiru Guardian, and Grand Mole can't use its effect when attacked facedown ( through experience I have lost because I had Grand Mole and could not use its effect because it got attacked facedown ).

Spells Discussion:

I took out all copies of Mystical Space Typhoon because no room and I like Dust Tornado more.

I took out Monster Reborn and Dark Hole because had no room and already have lots of destruction effects which keep my monsters safe and as a result no need for Dark Hole and Monster reborn.

I took out Seal of Orichalcos because is just a cool card from the TV series and not necessary for a control deck.

Traps Discussion :

For the most part I liked Billy Brake's traps, but Solemn Judgement is too costly for the current format.

Mirror Force is very versatile as is Compulsory Evacuation Device, so I added them.

Extra Deck Discussion :

None of Billy's extra deck seemed to blend with the deck, so I created my own.

Side Deck Discussion : Side decks are crucial; there wasn't one and because of this I made one I thought would do good  on a competitive level.

Here is why I took out what I did :


I took out two Destiny Hero Diamond Dude, two Tour Guide, and one Destiny Hero Plasma  for reasons that made them inefficient in this deck. First of all, Destiny Hero Diamond Dude did not need to be included because he is used to mill spells to use the following turn; that ability is not needed to have the deck function. The deck need only operate through intense special summoning, fusion summoning, and ritual summoning. I had removed Tour Guide because I decided that the card A Hero Lives worked better due to the fact that A Hero Lives specials out either Elemental Hero Stratos or Elemental Hero Bubbleman, while Tour Guide only gets an xyz monster if its effect goes trough ( with effect veiler being more popular right now because Jarel Pro Winston ran three in his geargia deck and veiler stops multiple decks in the current metagame ).Destiny Hero Plasma I decreased from two to one because I did not want bad hands with him to occur.Finally, I had decided to keep Sangan in this deck because  he searches out the key cards: Elemental Hero Bubbleman, Gishki Shadow, Gishki Vision, King of the Swamp, and Tragoedia.

Spells :

I had decided to remove all the copies of destiny draw because was only good for two different cards,  which were two Destiny Hero Dogmas and two Destiny Hero Plasmas. I knocked Trade-in to two copies from three copies because did not want it to be inconsistent. Just like Trade-in I knocked down Miracle Fusion to two copies.I had no room left for Mystical Space Typhoon so I had to side all three copies. Salvage did nothing helpful in this deck.I took out Salvage for an additional two Aquamirrors. Since I removed Destiny Hero Diamond Dude there was no point in keeping Reinforcement of the Army.Allure turned out same as Salvage.Too inconsistent! I removed Dark Hole because was not necessary because if something like Thunder King got in my deck's way I could just special summon to get around the blockade then continue special summoning. Heavy Storm I took out because is able to be stopped by starlight road, which is very popular.Royal Decree on the other hand could negate starlight road and all other traps as long as its activation was a success. After testing out the deck on Dueling Network, since I don't actually own any of the cards necessary to build the deck, I destroyed the posted extra deck and created my own extra deck that would blend with this deck. Finally, Since there was no side deck posted I had created my own so the deck could be played on a more competitive level of dueling!!!!
