How’s it going everyone, today I am going to be discussing two decks that where created by the Yu-gi-oh superstars of today, Billy Brake and Joe Giorlondo. First let me give you a brief introduction about myself. My name is James Chow, I am currently a 15 years old student and I have one YCS top, and three regional tops hoping to get more. I go to locals probably once every month or two and my goal that I hope to achieve in this game is to top/win with something that no one would have thought of ever playing. Well now let’s get started! Today, there are two decks that are going to the doctor and they will be given them some fixing! Now let’s first start with Billy’s deck. Here is the list below.

First let me tell you what the effects of some of the cards that might be foreign to the meta as of right now.
Card #1
Koa’ki Meiru Guardian
Level 4
Rock/Effect
During each of your End Phases, destroy this card unless you send 1 "Iron Core of Koa'ki Meiru" from your hand to the Graveyard or reveal 1 Rock-Type monster in your hand. You can Tribute this card to negate the activation of an Effect Monster's effect and destroy that monster.
1900Atk/1200Def
This card is purely amazing, it has 1900 Attack and just has a solid effect. The fact that you can choose when to negate is just amazing; its only downside is that you have to reveal 1 Rock-Type monster from your hand in the end phase, but that effect applies to all of the Koa’ki Meiru monsters in this deck.
Card #2
Koa’ki Meiru Sandman
Rock/Effect
During each of your End Phases, destroy this card unless you send 1 "Iron Core of Koa'ki Meiru" from your hand to the Graveyard or reveal 1 Rock-Type monster in your hand. You can Tribute this card to negate the activation of an opponent's Trap Card and destroy that card.
1900Atk/1200Def
This card is great, the ability to negate traps whenever is just too good to not run.
Card #3
Koa’ki Meiru Wall Rock
Rock/Effect
During each of your End Phases, destroy this card unless you send 1 "Iron Core of Koa'ki Meiru" from your hand to the Graveyard or reveal 1 Rock-Type monster in your hand. You can Tribute this card to negate the activation of an opponent's Spell Card and destroy that card.
1900Atk/1200Def
This card has the ability to negate spell cards which is really important to this deck. You can set all of your spells and traps and the fear of heavy storm is gone. I think this card is really important in a deck like this.
Card #4
Block Golem
Level 4
Rock/Effect
If the only monsters in your Graveyard are EARTH: You can Tribute this card to target 2 Level 4 or lower Rock-Type monsters in your Graveyard, except "Block Golem"; Special Summon those targets, but their effects that activate on the field cannot be activated this turn.
1000Atk/1500Def
This card is obviously insane, you can special summon two EARTH type monsters just by tributing this card. However they do not get there effects this turn that is potentially 3800 damage and if you have backup you can simply just special summon two earths and set some spells and traps and end your turn giving your opponent two big monsters with clutch effects. Only downfall is that all monsters have to be earth in your grave, so cards like Effect Veiler are opted to be cut out of the main deck, to prevent that from happening.
Now, let’s take a closer look at the monster line-up
Monsters: 19
3 Koa’ki Meiru Guardian
3 Koa’ki Meiru Sandman
3 Koa’ki Meiru Wall
3 Block Golem
2 Card Trooper
2 Maxx “C”
2 Fossil Dyna Pachycephalo
1 Neo-Spacian Grandmole
I think that two copies of Grandsoil The Elemental Lord would be perfect in this deck since all monsters are earth and essentially Block Golem can become 4 earths if there are already two earths in grave. However, Grandsoil The Elemental Lord would not be good alone, due to lack of monsters and I just felt that the deck was missing some type of floater so I added in three copies Giant Rats. Giant Rat adds a lot to this deck, it adds consistency, allows you to special summon Neo-Spacian Grandmole if you need to against a XYZ you can’t get over or lets you search for Card Trooper which can get over Thunder Kings and help fuel your graveyard for Grandsoil The Elemental Lord. You can even special Block Golem which essentially is like a Rescue Rabbit. I cut off one Koa’ki Meiru Sandman and one Koa’ki Meiru Guardian because I felt that they were useful but three of each was not necessary.
Now let’s look at the spell line-up.
Spells: 10
3 Mystical Space Typhoon
2 Soul Taker
2 Pot of Duality
1 Seal of Orichalcos
1 Monster Reborn
1 Dark Hole
Personally I believe Soul Taker is not necessary anymore because essentially Giant Rat can crash into any monster and just special summon a Grandmole and handle most problem cards, also you play so many traps that I just believed it wasn’t necessary in the main deck. I also felt like one Mystical Space Typhoon could be cut and added in Heavy Storm because that card is just to good to not run and you don’t play any cards like Necrovalley that would give you the reason to not play it.
Time for the traps!
Traps: 12
2 Dimensional Prison
2 Solemn Warning
2 Call of the Haunted
2 Bottomless Traphole
2 Torrential Tribute
1 Solemn Judgment
1 Starlight Road
After looking at the trap line-up I was iffy on Call of the Haunted at first but then you have to realize that you play three Block Golem which can be called along with two Card Troopers. So, I felt like the trap line-up was perfect the way it is.

1 Hieratic Sun Dragon Overlord of Heliopolis
1 Number 11: Big Eye
1 Gaia Dragon, Thunder Charger
1 Black Rose Dragon
Here are the effects of the Gishki cards:
Card #1
Gishki Soul Ogre
Level 8
Aqua/Ritual/Effect
Cannot be Normal Summoned or Set. Must first be Ritual Summoned. You can Ritual Summon this card with any "Gishki" Ritual Spell Card. Once per turn: You can discard 1 "Gishki" monster to target 1 face-up card your opponent controls; shuffle that target into the Deck.
2800Atk/2800Def
This card is basically 2800 Atk monster and it is a searchable level 8 monster which utilizes the Trade-Ins in the deck.
Card #2
Gishki Vision
Level 2
Sea Serpent/Effect
If you Ritual Summon a WATER Ritual Monster, this card can be used as the entire Tribute. You can discard this card; add 1 "Gishki" Ritual Monster from your Deck to your hand.
700Atk/500Def
This card is pretty much the Reinforcements of the Army for Gishki Ritual Monsters and is used in this deck to search for Gishki Soul Ogre.
Card #3
Gishki Shadow
Level 4
Sea Serpent/Effect
If you Ritual Summon a WATER Ritual Monster, this 1 card can be used as the entire Tribute. You can discard this card; add 1 "Gishki" Ritual Spell Card from your Deck to your hand.
1200Atk/1000Def
This card is used to search for the Aquamirror.
Card#4
Gishki Aquamirror
Ritual Card
This card can be used to Ritual Summon any "Gishki" Ritual Monster. You must also Tribute monsters from the field or your hand whose total Levels equal the Level of the Ritual Monster you Ritual Summon. You can shuffle this card from the Graveyard into the Deck to target 1 "Gishki" Ritual Monster in your Graveyard; return that target to the hand.
Aquamirror is basically used to get out Gishki Soul Ogre and if Aquamirror is in grave along with a Ogre you can just simply return the Aquamirror back to your deck and just get the Ogre back to your hand and Trade-In it.
Now let’s look at the monsters again
Monsters:20
3 Gishki Soul Ogre
3 Gishki Vision
3 Destiny Hero Plasma
2 Destiny Hero Diamond Dude
2 Trageodia
2 Tour Guide from the Underworld
1 Sangan
1 Gishki Shadow
1 Elemental Hero Stratos
1 Dark Armed Dragon
1 Gorz, the Emissary of Darkness
I think that there should be at least two copies of either Maxx “C” or Effect Veiler, but I think in a deck with no traps and two copies of Tragoedia, I felt that Maxx “C” would be the better choice. So I added two copies of Maxx “C” to the monster line-up and I also felt that one copy of Gishki Vision could be cut out because I felt like it was not needed to be played at in three. Especially with all the draw cards in the deck.
Now let’s take a look at the spells
Spells: 20
3 Destiny Draw
3 Trade-In
3 Miracle Fusion
3 Mystical Space Typhoon
2 Salvage
1 Gishki Aquamirror
1 Reinforcement of the Army
1 Allure of Darkness
1 Dark Hole
1 Heavy Storm
1 Monster Reborn
As soon as I saw the spell line-up I noticed that there was no Pot of Duality in this deck. I thought that this was crazy because in a deck full of draw cards I thought that Pot of Duality would increase consistency and basically help you get whatever card you need. So I decided to add in two copies of Pot of Duality. Also I noticed that there were two copies of Salvage and honestly I felt that with only three targets in the deck after I fixed it up, I thought that both copies could come out. Finally the last change to the deck is that I cut out a Mystical Space Typhoon, because since there are so many draw cards I don’t think drawing them is a problem and the odds of drawing Heavy Storm in this deck are much higher then most others.
