Hello all, my name is Matthew McDaniel, and first off before I get to the deck doctoring I would first like to thank Alter Reality Games for the opportunity to write this article. I don’t want to drag this out so let’s get right into the decks.

1 Stardust Dragon
The first thing that I noticed, not only in this deck but also Joe’s deck as well, is that neither deck had any tuners, but they both have synchro monsters in the extra deck. When trying to fix this problem, I found that there are really only two solutions to this: take the synchro monsters out, or add a few tuners. I prefer the latter. To keep the Block Golem live, the tuners need to be Earth as well. To solve this problem I have opted for Naturia Cherries and T.G. Striker. This gives the deck both level one and two tuners. The last addition is Grandsoil the Elemental Lord. This deck has no real offense, for this reason and coupled with the graveyard control of Block Golem, Grandsoil just makes sense.
Now we have to make room for these new monsters, the first one is Maxx “C”. I don’t like this card in the main deck, it is only good if you have a Gorz or Trageodia to back up all the cards that you just drew. For that reason Maxx ”C” is a side deck card for me.
Next on to the spells, the lineup that Billy has is pretty solid so the only thing I am adding is a Heavy Storm in place of Mystical Space Typhoon. A lot of people might not agree the Seal of Orichalcos, but I understand Billy’s logic behind this card. Being able to have Fossil Dyna Pachychephalo at 1700 combined with the protection offered with the Seal of Orichalcos and with Koa’Ki Meiru support is a huge factor for the deck. however I believe that this card does not help the decks overall goal. I love Soul Taker, because it gives me, the player, the choice of what to destroy, but as much as I love this card, I feel like Forbidden Lance is a better option in this revamped deck.
I believe that the trap line up is just right for this deck. Some people say use a Huge Revolution is over instead of Starlight Road. I, however, disagree. The negation coupled with the stardust and one negation that comes with that makes this just too good to replace just because they may have the solemn warning. The only cut is one Solemn Warning, because I don’t like paying 2000 plus life points three times.
As far as the extra deck goes, the Gachi Gachi has to go, the deck only plays one level two so there is no way to make this card. To replace it with Naturia Landoise to give even more stun factor. The rest seems well thought out.
So let take a look at the new look Rock Stun Deck list(42)

This was a lot of fun. This deck again had no tuners, but also had a lot of things in the extra deck that could not even be made except on extreme circumstances (such as discarding Gorz for Trageodia’s effect and then coping its level) so there are a few thing that need to be done.
The first thing that needs to be done is max out on Gishki Shadows. This card thins the deck, letting you get to key cards more quickly. Destiny Hero Plasma is a card that is only used for trade-in and Destiny draw. This is not horrible, but that is the only thing that this card does for the deck (besides the rare time you use it for the ritual requirements). For that reason I have taken out all three copies of it and replaced them with two Destiny Hero Malicious and that third Destiny Hero Diamond Dude. In testing, I found that the Tour Guides were a very nice addition as they helped make Dark Armed Dragon live more often.
Now to answer the tuner situation and I have two that are perfect for this deck, Deep Sea Diva and Plaguespreader Zombie. These two have so much synergy with this deck. Deep Sea Diva is a card that is growing in popularity with the release of Abyss Rising. This card is AMAZING in this deck, not only can you synchro summon and make the gachi gachi play, but you can also search out Gishki Vision and make the ritual summon that much easier. Now for the Plaguespreader Zombie, which happens to be one of my favorite cards in the game. This card can give you so much utility. You can put the second Malicious back on top of your deck and make the Malicious in your graveyard alive.
Now this spell line up is actually pretty solid, but one card that concerns me is Trade-in. Without the Plasmas this card only has Gishki Soul Ogre as a viable target. For that reason I have chosen to remove these for my Deep Sea Divas. The next thing that needs to be addressed in the spells is Miracle Fusion. Miracle Fusion is a card that when top decked completely changes the game. This deck can utilize this card because of Elemental Hero Absolute Zero and his “Hero” monster requirement (he is the only fusion that only says “hero”, as all the others say “Elemental Hero) out and should only be at two in this deck.
As for this extra deck the first thing we have to do is clean house and get rid of what is not needed. Grenosaurus, Melomelody, Acid Golem, Heliopolis, Big Eye, and Gaia Dragon all have to go for the plans I have for this extra deck. First Elemental Hero Absolute Zero is a must for this deck. As I stated earlier, this card is perfect for this deck, and his effect is killer. Next, Gachi Gachi, with the Deep Sea Diva this card is wall that can help you stall until you you get to the combo piece to go off. Colossal Fighter is a great out in this deck. All of the heroes are warriors which only boost this dude into the “stratos”phere. The ease that this deck can now makes level 8 synchros is quite funny. For this reason, Scrap Dragon and Stardust Dragon and the last two cards to finsih this deck off.
