I hate it when scrubs who play tier 5 garbage do better than ppl who play optimal decks and actually deserve their top! He probably cheated and rulesharked his way through the regional all day.

The fact that you’re so upset about this is pathetic. The fact that you claim that he doesn’t deserve that top because he wasn’t playing an optimal deck and that you are defaming his character by claiming that he probably cheated and rulesharked to get there is asinine. Get over yourself.

I went 7-1-1 with a ChaosJurrac deck. The reason this deck does well is because meta decks are tweaked to do well against the meta. Rogue decks are made to do well against the meta. Meta decks are not made to work well against rogue decks. This deck is good but you have to be on your A game because mistakes are hard to come back from with the deck. You really do have to work the chain to your advantage and Shrink can be the best card just due to people not knowing how it works in many situations.

It’s a slow deck that if you can live for turn 1-3 then you’re good. I have many games with jurrac builds where I get burned down to less than 1k and then just control the rest of the match and wittle my way to victory.

When did you go 7-1-1? I’d love a Deck Profile.

It’s a bit irrelevant now. It was about a year ago when the wind-up OTK was the big thing after loop was hit. I can’t run it anymore with T.King at 1 unless I find something good to replace it. Just look up “Chaos Jurrac 2012” on youtube if you still want to make reference. It was a 481 person tourny if I remember correctly.

i was judging at this regional and i seen this guy at table 6 last round, he was against bujins and he barely lost. that match was absolutely awesome to watch, and im glad he did so well with a rogue deck.

Scapegoat I imagine is for defense and synchro plays with the tuners + Rekindling. As for the lack of traps, the deck aims to destroy monsters in battle to trigger Guaiba so monster-removal traps have no synergy. I think a copy of Compulsory and some Fiendish Chains wouldn’t go amiss but the lack of traps makes siding Decree in easy. Maybe he was maining Decree but took it out at the last minute or something, that would explain the lack of traps.

So could anyone enlighten me as to why this deck ran 3 copies of scapegoat? I also question the lack of traps in the main deck for the use of cards like shrink.

    Jurrac was my first deck.
    I really like the concept
I would love to see this deck do well
