Here we go Alter Reality Gamers, we're winding down here in the First ARG Circuit Series. In this Top 8 match we have a player that we featured last round Vincent Gillette playing for Past, Present, Future his locals from West Palm Beach, Florida who's playing Dragunity Rulers. His opponent is Jordan Pollack from Kansas City, Kansas playing for Collectors Cache his locals and he's playing Chain Burn! This match will be an interesting one since one deck otks and the other deck will just burn you because you put cards on the field. Let's jump right into the match.
Vincent wins the dice roll again and opts to go first. He opens with Dragunity Dux, Dragunity Phalanx, Terraforming,Vanity's Emptiness, and 2 copies of Blaster, Dragon Ruler of Infernos. He starts with Terraforming adding Dragon's Ravine to his hand. Ravine activates sending Phalanx to add Dux to his hand. Dux is normaled equips Phalanx, and Phalanx special summons itself to the monster zone.The two monsters are used to Synchro Summon for Dragunity Knight- Vajrayana which equips Phalanx, Phalanx Special Summons and synchros to Scrap Dragon setting one to his back row and ending.
Jordan draws and sets 4 to his backrow and ends.
Vincent draws Dragunity Arma Mystletainn for turn and enters his Battle Phase, declaring an attack with Scrap into a Scapegoat activation which specials 4 goat tokens to the field, he continues the attack on 1 goat token. Then passes with nothing else.
Jordan draws, sets another card to his back row and passes back play.
Vincent draws Tempest, Dragon Ruler of Storms and activates Ravine to send the Tempest from his hand and a Redox, Dragon Ruler of Boulders from the deck to graveyard. Dux is normal summoned equips Phalanx, and Phalanx special summons itself to the monster zone and Jordan responds with Secret Barrel chain link 2, Threatening Roar chain link 3, Accumulated Fortune chain link 4 and the chain resolves burning Vincent for 1600 dropping him to 6400 and letting Jordan draw 2 cards. He activates Maxx "C" after the chain to try and draw from the special summon but he doesn't have a chance to since Phalanx special summoned itself at the end of the last chain. Vincent continues activating Blaster sending another Blaster targeting a back row which is Reckless Greed that gets chained letting Jordan draw 2 cards. Vincent passes his turn with that.
Jordan can't draw thanks to Reckless and has 5 in hand. Vincent activates Vanity's Emptiness in the Standby Phase. Pot of duality is activated revealing; Just Desserts, Accumulated Fortune, and Cardcar D and he opts to take the Cardcar D. He sets 1 card and summons Cardcar D activating the effect to draw 2 and ending his turn.
Vincent draws Tempest for his turn adding it to his in hand Dragunity Arma Mystletainn. The battle phase comes and has all 3 goat tokens attacked and destroyed leaving Jordan with only 1 set card. He passes his turn with that.
Jordan starts his turn and ends with nothing else.
Vincent draws Redox for his turn and enters his battle phase but is shut down by Threatening Roar. He passes after that.
Jordan draws to 6 in hand. He sets 3 cards to his backrow and passes his turn.
Vincent draws Waboku for his turn. He enters his Battle Phase and attacks with Scrap Dragon, Dux, and Phalanx dropping Jordan to 2800 life points. He passes his turn after that.
Jordan draws then activates Pot of Duality revealing; Accumulated Fortune, Cardcar D, and Secret Barrel and he takes the Cardcar D yet again. Cardcar D comes down and activate the effect to draw 2 and end his turn.
Vincent draws another Waboku for his turn. He declares an attack but the Battle Phase is ended by Swift Scarecrow being discarded. He sets 2 cards and passes after that.
Jordan draws to 5 again and sets 2 more cards filling his backrow to end his turn.
Vincent draws Reckless Greed for his turn. In his Battle Phase Phalanx declares an attack and Waboku is activated to take no damage. He sets 1 card to his backrow and ends his turn.
Jordan draws and sets a monster along with another backrow to pass his turn.
Vincent draws Ravine and attacks into Marshmallon! He takes 1000 damage dropping him to 5400. He passes back to Jordan.
Jordan draws activates Just Desserts burning for 1500 dropping Vincent to 3900 and sets 1 to his back row to end.
Vincent draws cards of consonance for his turn. He activates the effect of Scrap targeting Vanity's and a face down on Jordan's field but it's chained to by Just Desserts and Secret Barrel to burn Vincent for game!
A long drawn out 20 minute game 1 ends with Just Desserts and Secret Barrel for over 2000 damage each. Siding begins with some conversation about what could have gone differently in the last match.
Vincent starts us off with 2 Reckless, Phalanx, Seven Star Sword, Cards of Consonance, and a Royal Decree. He activates Cards of Consonance to draw Ravine and another Cards of Consonance. Ravine is activated and sends Seven Star Sword to search Dux to hand. Dux is normal summoned to equip Phalanx, Phalanx specials itself to synchro into Vajrayana. Vajrayana equips Phalanx, and causes the little dragon tuner to special itself again to synchro into Scrap dragon. 3 cards are set to the back row and he passes.
Jordan draws and activates Pot of Duality revealing; Secret Barrel, Battle Fader, and another Duality and he adds Secret Barrel to his hand. He sets 3 cards to his back row and summons Cardcar D to activate the effect to draw 2 and end but Royal Decree and 2 Reckless Greed are activated followed by a Mystical Space Typhoon to destroy Decree thinking that the Decree being destroyed would negate the Reckless Greeds (which isn't the case since it was activated first) and giving Vincent 4 cards but getting rid of Decree.
Vincent begins with 5 in hand and activates Gold Sarchophagus for Royal Decree which he'll get in 2 turns. His hand is Ravine, Cards of Consonance, Blaster, and Redox. Ravine is sent to activate Ravine to search Phalanx to hand. Cards of Consonance comes down discarding Phalanx to draw MST and another Blaster. Blaster pitches Blaster to destroy a backrow which is Secret Barrel and in the chain are Just Desserts and Accumulated Fortune. Vincent take 500 from just desserts and 800 from secret barrel dropping him to 6700. Scrap Dragon attacks for 2800 putting Jordan at 5200, sets 1 back row and passes.
Jordan sets 4 and tries to end but MST destroys Just Desserts on End Phase.
Vincent activates ravine Since he can't draw sending Tempest to grave from hand to add Dux. Dux comes down and equips Phalanx and maxx "C" is chained to the equip. Vincent goes into his Battle Phase and attacks with both monsters form 4700 damage dropping Jordan to 500. Scrap Dragon activates the effect targeting a facedown back row Jordan controls and the Dux, the back row is Just Desserts which is chained for 1000 damage to Vincent dropping him down to 5700.
Jordan draws and examines Vincent's grave. He sets a monster and another backrow ending with no cards in hand.
VIncent draws Seven Star Sword and adds Decree to hand from Gold Sarcophagus. Tempest is Special Summoned by banishing 2 Dux. Scrap Dragon destroys Tempest and the facedown monster which is a Ryko, Lightsworn Hunter! Dux comes down now and equips Phalanx. The attempt at a Battle Phase are ended thanks to a Threatening Roar by Jordan. Phalanx specials itself and synchros into Vajrayana. Vajrayana equips Phalanx and it special summons itself to synchro for Stardust. He sets one back row and ends.
Jordan can't draw but activates another Reckless for 2 cards and sets them to end.
Vincent draws Blaster for turn then attacks but it is shut off by Scarecrow. Tempest is special summoned by banishing Dux and Vajrayana. Scrap Dragon attempts to destroy Tempest and a back row and Jordan scoops up his cards!
Game 2 goes to Vincent. He draws a series of good cards and is able to control the field with a Scrap dragon and 2 Royal Decrees. Both players side again and play resumes shortly after Game 2.
Jordan starts Game 3 with 2 set cards and a Cardcar D to draw 2 and end.
Vincent starts with Terraforming, Return From the Different Dimension, Blaster, Dux, Reckless and a Flamvell Guard. He activates Terraforming searching Ravine and adding it to his hand. Blaster is activated discarding Guard to destroy a Just Desserts. Ravine comes down next sending Return from hand and Phalanx from deck to grave. Dux is normal summoned to equip Phalanx, Phalanx activates to special itslef and Maxx "C" is chained giving Jordan a card. Vincent attacks with both monsters for 2400 dropping Jordan to 5600 and passes back to Jordan.
Jordan draws and sets 3 cards to his back row to end.
Vincent draws MST for turn and activates Reckless to draw Mystletainn and another Reckless. He synchros his monsters into a Vajrayana to equip Phalanx and Phalanx Special Summons itself to synchro with Vajrayana into a Stardust Dragon. Stardust attacks and deals 2500 damage dropping jordan to 3100 life points. He sets 2 to his backrow and passes his turn.
Jordan draws and sets one to his backrow but the facedown Reckless is destroyed by MST.
Vincent also chains his set Reckless to draw Phalanx and another Ravine. Ravine sends Phalanx to add a Dux to his hand. Dux is Normal Summoned and equips Phalanx. He attacks with Dux but Battle Fader is summoned to end the Battle Phase. Main Phase 2 he Special Summons Phalanx and synchros into Vajrayana using the Dux. Vajrayana equips Phalanx, Phalanx Special Summons itself and is used to special Scrap Dragon. Scrap Dragon attempts to destroy Ravine and a face down, Jordan chains MST chain link 2, Secret Barrel chain link 3, Accumulated chain link 4, and Chain Strike chain link 5. Vincent takes 2000 from Chain Strike and 1000 from Secret Barrel to drop him to 5000 life points and Jordan draws 2 cards. He passes his turn with that.
Jordan draws and ends with 5 in hand.
Vincent can't draw for turn so he Special Summons Blaster by banishing Vajrayana and Flamvell Guard. He enters his Battle Phase attacks over Battle Fader, then directly but gets shut off by another Battle Fader! Scrap destroys Blaster and the Fader using it's effect and Vincent ends with that.
Jordan activates One Day of Peace causing Vincent to draw a Ravine. He passes his turn after that.
Vincent Draws for turn and it's another Mystletainn that he adds to 2 Ravine and his other copy of Mystletainn. He activates Ravine sending Ravine to search and add Dux to his hand. Dux is normal summoned to equip Phalanx and Phalanx activates it's effect to Special Summon itself which Jordan chains Maxx "C" is to giving him a card. He passes his turn since he's under one day of peace.
Jordan draws for turn and verifies life points then sets 5 cards to his backrow to end his turn.
Vincent draws for his turn and Jordan activates Just Desserts, Ceasefire, Scapegoat, and Chain Strike to deal 6000 damage and to take the game and the match!
Jordan Pollack takes the final game of the match in a game ending chain to move onto the Top 4 with Chain Burn!
