Hello Yugioh Community! The first ever ARG Circuit Series event is only about a week away taking place in my very own backyard in Fort Worth, Texas! In preparation for this awesome tournament I have been testing out many different decks trying to find the one that I enjoy using the most while giving me the best chance of taking the title home as the first ever ARG Circuit Series champion. Since this is such an exciting time I wanted to do something special in this upcoming week to kick off the start of something potentially huge for this game. I am going to be sharing a bunch of the different decks that I have been playing with, even giving out my own personal deck list, and then going over what I like and don’t like after some of the testing that I have done. I am going to kick this off with the deck that I piloted at YCS Toronto due to a huge amount of duelists asking me about it in particular. Keep in mind every deck list I post are versions of the deck I am actually currently testing.
Question of the Article: What deck do you think will win the first ever ARG Circuit Series tournament?

- What does this deck do? -
This particular version of Fire Fist that I am using actually many different ways of going about getting the win, but like most decks there is a particular combination of cards I would like to open up with to get an effective opening, for those who don’t know what that is with Fire Fist I’ll give you a quick rundown. The neat part about this deck is that there are many different combinations of cards that can give you basically the same result. The main goal is you want to have one of the following combination of cards in your opening hand: Fire Formation – Tenki and/or Fire Formation – Tensu and either Brotherhood of the Fire Fist – Leopard or Rooster. If you have Tenki, you can activate it to search out Brotherhood of the Fire Fist – Spirit. You then can either summon Brotherhood of the Fire Fist- Leopard, using his effect to pop himself to go grab a Fire Formation – Tensu from your deck or you can summon Brotherhood of the Fire Fist – Rooster to swap your on field Tenki for a copy of Tensu. Now that you have an extra normal summon in both of these cases you can use that to summon your Brotherhood of the Fire Fist – Spirit. If you used Leopard then you will bring him back with your Spirit’s effect and synchro with him or if you used Rooster you will just synchro with the on field Rooster. Either way you make the level 6 Beast-Warrior Synchro: Brotherhood of the Fire Fist – Horse Prince. You can then activate his special ability to summon a level 3 fire monster from your deck to the field, in most cases your selection will be Brotherhood of the Fire Fist – Rooster. And when he is summoned by the effect of another Fire Fist monster you can add any Fire Fist monster from your deck to your hand for all of the plusses. You have then achieved your main goal of getting a solid set-up and essentially get to prepare for the following turns.Don’t forget that both of the scenarios I just talked about work with Fire Formation – Tensu as well, you just have to search out the Fire Formation – Tenki instead. You can Utilize Blaster, Dragon Ruler of Infernos to destroy cards on your opponents side of the field while you are trying to get in with some Fire Fist action and once your opponent spends their resources dealing with what you have done, you still have a follow-up Blaster that can be summoned from the grave during the late game for essentially free to finish off your opponent. Keep in mind when summoning Blaster to leave all of your Brotherhood of the Fire Fist Leopard and Spirit in your grave as they are your Rekindling targets and can set up some pretty devastating Leviair the Sea Dragon plays late in the game to finish off your opponent.
This card came out as a common in Generation Force and I have always liked it and now I think I can put it to some good use. Not only can you use this card to help clear your opponent’s back row out of the way as you are making a push, it allows you to use Fire Formation – Tenki and even Yoko multiple times through the duel. An early Gravelstorm on Tenki can end duels pretty quickly. You can even do some cool tricks with this card and Fiendish Chain at worst. While it is still in the testing phase, I have found myself liking this card quite a lot.
-Quick things to Keep in Mind-
1. Opening up with Foolish Burial + Brotherhood of the Fire Fist – Spirit or Fire Formation – Tenki
Foolish Leopard – Summon Spirit bring back Leopard – Synch for Horse Prince – Special Rooster and search out any Fire Fist (Depending on your hand) – Summon a level 3 Fire Fist – Overlay for Brotherhood of the Lion Emperor – add back Brotherhood of the Fire Fist Spirit.
2. You can gain your Tensu summon before you have actually used your normal summon yet!
3. Brotherhood of the Fire Fist –Lion Emperor can add any Fire monster back to the hand, even Blaster.
4. At worst, Rekindling is a Monster Reborn for Brotherhood of the Fire Fist – Leopard and using it this way may seem like a waste, but is sometimes required to break an opponent’s set-up .
5. This deck is about out resourcing the opponent, but can put a lot of damage on the board quite quickly after a late game Blaster summon, banishing Brotherhood of the Fire Fist – Bear, followed by Rekindling into Leviair the Sea Dragon.
Conclusion: This deck is one of my favorites right now and I feel it can be used and do well at the ARG Circuit Series that is right around the corner. This deck ability to grind out a game and then finish the opponent off with a timely Rekindling is quite awesome. While I haven’t quite decided on what deck I am going to use this is definitely one of my top options. Don’t forget to keep checking back here in the days leading up to the ARG Circuit Series daily to see what deck I have been testing with to share with you duelists next!
