Cool Deck Ideas

What’s going on guys? Today I’m here with a new segment, but I don't really know what to call it. I came up with... Cool Deck Ideas... Yeah… I know… I probably could be more creative with the title, but I’ll leave it up to you guys to give it a cooler name for future cool deck idea articles. Leave your ideas in the comment section below!

Let me introduce you to this segment, and then we will get started. Every once in a while, I will put up a "Cool Deck Ideas" article with some neat decks to show you. In these articles, I will show you some cool decks I have thought about or heard about, and I will give you a deck list of each deck as well as an explanation about what the deck does.

The first deck I would like to talk about is a deck that my friends Joe Bogli and Connor Bazil told me about. It is a deck that utilizes Rescue Rabbit to bring out 2 machines and make Gear Gigant X! Pretty cool, huh? Let me show you the deck and then I will explain some cool interactions in the deck.

RABBIT X

Monsters – 21
2 Effect Veiler
1 Black Luster Soldier – Envoy of the Beginning
1 Chaos Sorcerer
1 Machina Cannon
2 Machina Fortress
1 Machina Gearframe
1 Black Salvo
2 Rescue Rabbit
3 Mechanicalchaser
3 X-Head Cannon
2 Tour Guide from the Underworld
1 Sangan
1 Night Assailant

Spells - 8
2 Forbidden Lance
2 Mystical Space Typhoon
1 Limiter Removal
1 Heavy Storm
1 Dark Hole
1 Monster Reborn

Traps – 12
2 Solemn Warning
2 Compulsory Evacuation Device
2 Bottomless Trap Hole
2 Torrential Tribute
1 Dimensional Prison
1 Solemn Judgment
1 Fiendish Chain
1 Starlight Road

Extra – 15
1 Stardust Dragon
1 Karakuri Shogun mdl 00 “Burei”
1 Black Rose Dragon
1 Number 11: Big Eye
1 Number 39: Utopia
2 Gear Gigant X
1 Photon Papilloperative
1 Wind-Up Zenmaister
1 Maestroke the Symphony Djinn
1 Number 17: Leviathan Dragon
1 Number 20: Giga-Brilliant
1 Leviair the Sea Dragon
1 Temtempo the Percussion Djinn
1 Wind Up Zenmaines

This deck is pretty neat. The synergy is almost too unreal. The Rescue Rabbit engine consists of 3 Mechanicalchaser, and 3 X-Head Cannon. These two monsters are perfect for the deck. If they are stuck in your hand, you can simply ditch them for Machina Fortress. Don’t forget that they are also pretty big on their own, at 1850 and 1800 Attack points. They are also Light and Dark Machines. What this means is that you can Rescue Rabbit for a Gear Gigant X and put either a light or dark in the grave for one of your possible Chaos Monsters or even Black Salvo. Gear Gigant can get a card from the grave or the deck so you don’t have to worry too much about running multiple salvos. Speaking of Black Salvo, you probably noticed that I only run 3 targets for it. I don’t see that as much of a problem because of the fact that Rescue Rabbit can search those darks out. If you are staring at a hand of Rescue Rabbit and Limiter Removal, that is 7400 damage alone. That’s some pretty scary stuff. A big turnoff for me is the high monster count. I want to cut it lower, but I really cant find anything to cut.

ScrapSworn

The next deck I want to talk about is a deck that I spent a whole day testing with. This deck is very similar to Chaos Dragons, and it was testing very well, but it did consistently lose to Agents.

This deck utilizes the monster card, Chain Beast, extremely well. Chain Beast is a card that I have always been interested in ever since my friend, Tyler Nolan, told me about it a year ago. I have 50+ copies in one of my extra stuff boxes, just sitting there waiting to gain some value!

Here is what it does, for those of you who don't already know:
Chain Dog
Earth
****
Beast/Effect
If you control exactly 2 face-up Beast-Type monsters, you can Special Summon this card from your Graveyard. If this card was Summoned this way, remove it from play when it is removed from the field. This card cannot be used as a Synchro Material Monster, except for the Synchro Summon of a Beast-Type monster.
1600 ATK/1100 DEF
This card is amazing in conjunction with Scrap Chimera and Super-Nimble Mega Hamster. You can make all sorts of rank 4s for free thanks to this card! If you XYZ with Chain Dog, it will forget that it has to be removed and it will go back into the grave for you to use again! Keep in mind that you need EXACTLY 2 Beasts on the field to summon it from grave. No more, no less.

Lets get to the deck!

Monsters – 28
3x Grandsoil the Elemental Lord
3x Chain Dog
3x Lyla, Lightsworn Sorceress
3x Ryko, Lightsworn Beast
3x Scrap Beast
3x Scrap Chimera
3x Effect Veiler
2x Tragoedia
2x Card Trooper
1x Gorz the Emissary of Darkness
1x Super-Nimble Mega Hamster
1x Maxx “C”

Spells – 13
3x Solar Recharge
3x Forbidden Lance
2x Scrapstorm
1 Charge of the Light Brigade
1x Monster Reborn
1x Dark Hole
1x Heavy Storm
1x Pot of Avarice

Extra Deck – 15
3x Scrap Dragon
1x Stardust Dragon
1x Thought Ruler Archfiend
1x Gaia Knight the Force of the Earth
1x Hieratic Sun Dragon Overlord of Heliopolis
1x Number 16: Shock Master
1x Number 39: Utopia
1x Fairy King Albverdich
1x Queen Dragun Djinn
1x Wind-Up Zenmaister
1x Maestroke the Symphony Djinn
1x Leviair the Sea Dragon
1x Gachi Gachi Gantetsu

This deck is really fun to play and it has a lot of neat tricks. Queen Dragun Djinn can get a Scrap Dragon from grave, Grandsoil and Scrap Dragon can become a Heliopolis, Forbidden Lance makes sure your Grandsoil stays on board, and there is a lot of graveyard manipulation in the deck, so it is easy to drop a Grandsoil. Outside of Compulsory Evacuation Device and Bottomless Trap Hole, there aren’t too many outs to Scrap Dragon. It can really force your opponent to waste a lot of cards to get it off the board, and even when they do, you get another scrap from the grave back! This deck can make a lot of rank 4 XYZ monsters and Scrap Dragons with ease, and thanks to all of the milling going on in the deck, there will almost always be a Scrap Beast and Chain Dog in grave. Something I really wanted to add to the deck was Tour Guide. Unfortunately, the deck is really tight on space, both in the extra and main.

I recommend you give this deck a try. It is really fun to play and I strongly believe it is a solid deck.

COCOON PARTY!

The next deck I want to talk about is nowhere near competitive as the last two decks. As a matter of fact, I don’t think I have ever won a game with the deck, but you know what? This deck is extremely fun to play, even if you do lose.

Cocoon Party is a Normal Spell that states:
Special Summon 1 Chrysalis monster from your deck for each Neo-Spacian monster with a different name in your graveyard.

This is pretty much the rekindling for Neo-Spacians.

Another card that you are going to need to know is Convert Contact. This card is the Destiny Draw of Neo-Spacians. It is a Normal Spall that states:
Activate only while you control no monsters. Send 1 Neo-Spacian monster from your and and 1 from your Deck to the Graveyard. Then Draw 2 cards.

This card works perfectly with Cocoon Party!

The final card(s) that you will need to know are the chrysalis monsters. They all state that you need Neo-Space on the field to activate their abilities. You can tribute them on the field to special summon the Neo-Spacian version of that Chrysallis.

Please keep in mind that this is not a Miracle Contact deck.

Monsters – 30
1x Black Luster Soldier – Envoy of the Beginning
2x Tragoedia
1x Gorz the Emissary of Darkness
3x Effect Veiler
2x Tour Guide from the Underworld
1x Sangan
1x Chrysalis Chicky
1x Chrysalis Dolphin
1x Chrysalis Larva
1x Chrysalis Pantail
1x Chrysalis Pinny
1x Chrysalis Mole
1x Neo-Spacian Air Hummingbird
1x Neo-Spacian Aqua Dolphin
1x Neo-Spacian Dark Panther
1x Neo-Spacian Glow Moss
1x Neo-Spacian Flare Scarab
1x Neo-Spacian Grand Mole
3x Wind-Up Shark
2x Wind-Up Magician
2x Wind-Up Rat
1x Wind-Up Rabbit

Spells – 11
3x Convert Contact
2x Cocoon Party
2x Neo Space
2x Mystical Space Typhoon
1x Heavy Storm
1x Dark Hole
1x Monster Reborn

Extra Deck – 15
1x Wind-Up Arsenal Zenmaioh
1x Adreus Keeper of Armageddon
1x Number 16: Shock Master
1x Photon Pappiloperative
1x Wind-up Zenmaister
1x Maestroke the Symphony Djinn
1x Number 17: Leviathan Dragon
1x Soul of Silvermountain
1x Number 20: Giga-Brilliant
1x Leviair the Sea Dragon
1x Temtempo the Percussion Djinn
1x Wind-Up Zenmaines
1x Wind-Up Carrier Zenmaity
1x Daigusto Phoenix
1x Gachi Gachi Gantetsu

Like I said, I haven’t won a lot of games with this deck. If they have Maxx"C" they are going to draw a lot of cards if you continue special summoning. The deck has its own Destiny Draw and Rekindling so I had to build it! If you can manage to pull off a Cocoon Party, you should almost always win. You can proceed to Wind-Up loop with Zenmaity and other XYZ monsters. Have fun with it!

Well, those are the three decks I have to show you today. I'll probably have another one in a month or so, so look forward to that. Until then, play hard or go home!
