Things start winding to a close as the semifinalist take to the stage! Kevin Silva both have proved their ability by rising through the ranks of swiss and top cut. Both have been featured and have provided phenomenal demonstrations of their ability, but only one can go forward to duel in the finals.

Darelle wins the die roll 10 to 5 and chooses to go first.

Game 1

Darelle draws to 6 cards, he activates Upstart Goblin, then sets one monster and 3 spell/traps

Kevin opening hand consist of two copies of Dragon Ravine, Phoenix Wing Wind Blast, Card Trooper, Redox Dragon Ruler of Boulders, and Blaster Dragon Ruler of Infernos. He chooses Card Trooper to make the first play. Its effect mills Tidal Dragon Ruler of Waterfalls, Debris Dragon and Maxx C. He activates the milled Tidal’s effect banishing the Redox to his hand and Debris Dragon from his graveyard to special summon itself from the graveyard. The banished Redox from his hand replaces itself by searching another Redox. Kevin enters the battle phase. Tidal attacks Darelle’s set monster, but Darelle activates Mirror Force stopping both monsters in their tracks by destroying them. Kevin is consoled by a draw from card trooper (ironically it’s another card trooper). During his main phase II he activates Dragon Ravine, he discards Redox with Ravine to send Tempest to his graveyard. He sets Wind Blast and ends his turn.

Darelle draws and flips his set Geargia Armor to add Geargia Accelerator from his deck to his hand. He flips armor back down with its effect, and normal summons Karakuri Strategist mdl 248 Nishipachi he uses Nishipachi’s effect to flip Geargia Armor back up searching for another Geargia Accelerator. He special summons the first Accelerator from his hand. He synchro summons using Accelerator and Nishipachi to summon Karakuri Shogun mdl 00 Burei. Burei’s effect special summons Karakuri Watchdog mdl 313 Saizan from his deck, he special summons the second Accelerator from his hand, Darelle then consolidates Wathchdog and Accelorator into Karakuri Steel Shogun mdl 00X Bureido. He uses Bureido’s effect to summon s second watchdog from his deck from his deck. “Cyber Dragon Let’s go!” Silva exclaims.

Darelle, probably not fearing Cyber Dragon, synchros the Accelerator and Watchdog into Scrap Dragon. Darelle’s plays are far from over. He activates a set call of the Haunted, resurrecting a Geargia Accelerator. His reveals his second set, another Call of the Haunted! This one revives Nishipachi. He synchro summons another Burei with the two revived monsters. He then turns to Scrap Dragon. It targets a Call of the Haunted and Kevin’s set Wind Blast, Kevin chains Wind Blast, discarding blaster to return Scrap Dragon to the Extra Deck. Darelle then unleashes his field of mechanical terrors on Kevin’s life points attacking for 8000 points of damage leaving Silva at 1000 only sparred by a gain in life from Upstart Goblin. In his main phase two he overlays the level seven Bureis for Mecha Phantom Beast Dracosack. He uses it’s effect to summon two tokens and tributes one of the tokens to destroy Dragons Ravine.

Silva 1000 Darelle 8000

Kevin draws another copy of Phoenix Wing Wind Blast. He Uses Redox to banish Tidal and Maxx C from his graveyard grave to summon itself. Tidal searches Tidal. Keven activates his second Dragon Ravine, he immediately makes use of it discarding his Tidal in hand, to send a Blaster from his deck to the graveyard. He summons Blaster banishing Tempest and Blaster from his graveyard. Tempest Searches a Debris Dragon. Blaster is put on top of Redox to summon Number 11 Big Eye. Big Eye takes control of Darelle’s Dracosack. Darelle’s Dracosack is then put to work in Kevin’s strategy making two token. Dracosack then tributes a token to destroy Darelle’s Bureido. Kevin sets the Wind Blast and attempts to end, but in the end phase, Darelle uses Geargiagear to summon 2 Geargiano Mark IIs from his deck, each ones level modified to 4.

Darelle draws for turn. He summons Geargiano, he uses Geargiano’s effect tributing itself to summon A Kaurakuri Watchdog from grave. He synchro summons Scrap Dragon once more combining the Watchdog with one of the level 4 Mark IIs. Scrap Dragon targets the second dead Call of the haunted again Targeting Kevin’s set Wind Blast. Kevin chains it discarding Card Trooper for cost to return Scrap Dragon to the extra deck again! Darelle ponders his next move carefully. He attacks Keveins token with the remaining Geargiano Mark II. Last during his main phase 2 he returns the Mark II to his hand to summon Genex Ally Birdman. With that he passes his turn.

Kevin draws Tempest he discards it with Ravine to send Redox from his deck to his graveyard. He checks his extra deck, and summons Debris Dragon. He uses it to special summon a fallen card trooper who mills for cost. Sixth sense Wood Dragon and Flamvell guard fall from the top of Kevin’s deck to his graveyard. He uses Debris and Trooper for Ancient Fairy Dragon, he uses its effect to destroy his own Dragon Ravine, gain 1000 life points, and search another copy of Ravine. He banishes both Card Troopers in his graveyard for Redox, and overlays Ancient Fairy Dragon and Redox for Gaia Dragon the Thunder Charger. He summons Blaster banishing Debris Dragon and Mythic Tree Dragon. Tidal’s effect banishes Tempest and Flamvell Guard to summon itself and Darelle concedes before Kevin’s overwhelming field.

Game 2
Darelle chooses to go first.
He draws for 6 and summons Geargia Arsenal, He tributes it to special summon Geargia Armor and flips it into facedown defense position with its effect before setting two cards and ending his turn.

Kevin hand holds Royal Decree, Debris Dragon, Return from the Different Dimension, Blaster, Flamvell Guard, and

Trigon. In his stand-bye phase Darelle activates Imperial Iron Wall. Kevin is unfazed, he discards Trigon and Blaster to destroy Kevins set Book of Moon. He then summons Debris Dragon, revive Trigon, Synchro summons a Black Rose Dragon with the pair and then uses black rose dragon to destroy both players field. After the dust settles, Kevin set Royal Decree and Return from the Different Dimension before ending his turn.

Darelle draws for turn. He normal summons Geargia Arsenal, and attacks for 1700 points of damage. In his mains phase two he tributes the Arsenal for Geargia Armor, sets the Armor with its effect and ends his turn.
Kavein 6300- Darelle 8000.

Kevin draws, he summons Card Trooper and uses its effect Milling Redox Tidal and Skill Drain. Vicroty in sight, Kevin banishes Black Rose Dragon and Debris Dragon from his graveyard to special summon the Blaster in his graveyard. He then banishes Trigon and Tidal for Redox. He overlays the pair of dragon rulers into Mecha Phantom Beast Dracosack. He tributes Dracosack to destroy Darelle’s set Geargia Armor. To end the match Kevin activates his waiting Return from the Different Dimension to special summon Debris Dragon, Tidal, Trigon, and Black Rose. He syncho summons a second black rose dragon with Trigon and Debris Dragon, and attacks assuring him a space in the finals!
